Mountain biking tour Mellental

Mountain bike friends will love one of the greater regions of Vorarlberg - the Bregenzerwald. A beautiful tour starts in Mellau heading into a narrow valley called Mellental. The altitude difference is just around 1.000m, the entire length of the tour is 25 kilometers.

You will need at least a half day for this tour. The first part is a broader forrest road, which is easy to drive. This road leads to the Alpe Lindach, which is about the half of the entire trip.

It follows a sharp climb where you have to push your bike due to the bad and steep path (sometimes muddy). This takes you around 10-15 minutes. The next stop and highest point of this mountain bike trip is an other small cottage, Alpe Hauser.

From this point on you will enjoy a rasant and good to drive downhill road for the rest of the way. You can stop somewhere along the road and make a picknick or just enjoy the great panorama. Finally you will arrive in Mellau where you started.
